How DNS Spoofing Works

The Simple Explanation

Think of DNS like the Internet's Phonebook.

When you type "Bank.com", your computer asks the Phonebook for the Bank's real IP address.

Spoofing is when a Hacker intercepts that question and yells back a fake address before the real phonebook can answer.
